In what looked like a WW2 cinematic scene I stumbled across this beautiful tree. Behind the Great Otway National park in the township of Beech I found myself searching through the thick mud of a recently cleared forestry site. I was astounded at how brutally ravaged the earth looked, it was like I was searching for a loved one through the carnage that had taken place before me. 

After searching for hours I came across the incredibly unique base that was something I had never seen before, it had such a dramatic shape, showing so much of its life to me, I knew I had found the right one.
